ICE raw sugar futures closed higher on Thursday, with supply tightening expected to provide support.
ICE's raw sugar futures closed up 0.09 cents, or 0.8 %, at 11.48 cents per pound in October.
Sugar futures closed down $1.40, or 0.4 per cent, at $330.20 a tonne in October.
The European Commission cut sugar production for 2018/19 to 20.1 million tonnes, down from its previous estimate of 20.4 million tonnes.
